Children’s Voice: A Champion for Trafficked Children
Children’s Voice is an NGO that is dedicated to providing support and care to children who have been trafficked. We believe that every child deserves a safe and nurturing environment, and it is our mission to ensure that they receive the care they need to heal and rebuild their lives. We focus on mentoring trafficked children to choose a career in their area of passion, and further provide scholarships to help them achieve their dreams.
Addressing Trafficking: Three Phases
The problem of human trafficking is complex and requires a multi-faceted approach. At Children’s Voice, we are cognizant that the fight against trafficking should be addressed in three phases: Prevention, Intervention, and Aftercare.
Prevention: The first line of defense against trafficking is prevention. This involves raising awareness about the dangers of trafficking, educating vulnerable communities, and providing resources to help them avoid being trafficked.
Intervention: When trafficking has already taken place, it is important to intervene as quickly as possible to rescue the victims and provide them with support and care. This may involve working with law enforcement to rescue children who have been trafficked, providing medical and psychological support, and working with families and communities to help them heal.
Aftercare: The final phase of addressing trafficking is Aftercare. This is where Children’s Voice plays a critical role. We provide long-term support and care to children who have been trafficked, including psychological support and, importantly, education.
The Importance of Education in Aftercare
At Children’s Voice, we believe that education is a critical component of Aftercare. We understand that education is not only a fundamental right for every child, but it is also essential for helping victims of trafficking to rebuild their lives and secure a better future.
Education provides children with the skills and knowledge they need to break the cycle of poverty and exploitation. It helps them develop their full potential and empowers them to make informed decisions about their lives. By providing access to education, we are giving these children hope for a brighter future and the tools they need to build a successful and fulfilling life.
Specifically, we provide mentorship to trafficked children during their high-school years so as to enable them to choose and drive towards a career of their choosing. As they enter college, we provide scholarships so as to enable them to achieve their career goals leading to a successful and fulfilling life.
Partnering for a Brighter Future
At Children’s Voice, we believe that we cannot fight trafficking alone. That is why we are committed to partnering with like-minded organizations and stakeholders in the Prevention and Intervention phases of addressing trafficking.
We believe that by working together, we can make a difference in the lives of children who have been trafficked. Our goal is to provide a comprehensive response to trafficking, from prevention to aftercare, and to make a real impact in the lives of these children. We look to partners to (a) help us raise funds for our mutual cause, and (b) provide us with introductions to trafficked children so that we can start the process of helping build a career for them
In conclusion, Children’s Voice is dedicated to providing care and support to children who have been trafficked. We believe that every child deserves a safe and nurturing environment and it is our mission to ensure that they receive the care they need to heal and rebuild their lives. Through education and partnership, we believe that we can make a difference in the fight against trafficking and provide hope for a brighter future for these children.
