Children’s Voice International plans to award one or more scholarships up to $5,000 to cover tuition for an enrolled student at an accredited school. The student will need to complete an application form after being nominated by a Children’s Voice board member.
The mission of Children’s Voice International (CVI) is to help restore the rights of abandoned, neglected, trafficked, and exiled children worldwide. CVI aims to achieve this mission through three core programs: (1) Basic Needs Support; (2) Immigration Support; and, (3) a Scholarship Program. In 2017, the Board of Directors has agreed to pursue the initial year of the Scholarship Program.
Please submit the following information to Joe@childrens-voice.org no later than August 14, 2017:
- Completed Application Form;
- Responses to two essay questions; and,
- Proof of enrollment into an accredited school
Requests for a scholarship will be based on the following selection criteria:
- Experienced a demonstrated hardship;
- Statement of life goals;
- Commitment to education;
- Past CVI case (or comparable case in other program);
- Maturity; and,
- Potential as ambassador for Children’s Voice International
The amount of the award can be flexible, based on the amount of scholarship money available, the number of applications, and the number of awards assigned. Accordingly, the applicant shall have the option to request up to $5,000 and the board shall have the option to fund the entire request or a portion of it (assuming the Board approves the application).
